Dezember 1968 wurde das weltweit jemals am l\u00e4ngsten aus einer Bibliothek ausgeliehene Buch zur\u00fcck gegeben: 1828 lieh sich Mr. M. Dodd das Buch &#8222;<em>Medical Reports on the Effects of Water, Cold and Warm, as a Remedy in Fever and Febrile Diseases, whether applied to the Surface of the Body, or used as a Drink, with observations on the Nature of Fever and on the Effects of Opium, Alcohol and Inanition<\/em>&#8220; von Dr. James Currie (1756 &#8211; 1805) aus der University of Cincinnati Medical Library aus. 145 Jahre sp\u00e4ter brachte sein Urgro\u00dfenkel Richard Dodd es endlich zur\u00fcck.
